Thanksgiving Day Fall Feast
Serve with City Gospel Mission and Give Back Cincinnati
In 2009, our partner City Gospel Mission joined Fall Feast, a city-wide event created by Give Back Cincinnati. Now, we serve beside them each Thanksgiving. Hundreds of volunteers prepare and serve Thanksgiving dinner to people who might not otherwise enjoy one, and guests receive gifts such as free coats, haircuts, vision screenings and flu shots. Crossroads volunteers also help deliver meals to shut-ins and elderly unable to join the feast downtown, and serve meals at nursing homes, shelters and other care facilities.
In the past three years, thousands upon thousands of people have been served, with loads of food and loads of love. Over 3,000 coats have been given away, more than 4,000 meals have been delivered to people’s homes and to assisted living facilities, and 10,000+ folks have joined us for Thanksgiving Dinner at the Duke Energy Center.
This year, we’ll do it again. Check back in October for serving opportunities.
