Thanksgiving Food Drive
God says to serve the poor. So, we do.
Every Thanksgiving we serve people in need by providing food—lots of food.
In 2011 we:
- Collected 4,400 boxes of complete Thanksgiving meals for 55 local partner churches and organizations in Cincinnati, so they could be a blessing to families within their communities
- Sent 150 boxes to New Orleans, continuing our partnership with Franklin Avenue Baptist Church
- Shipped two containers of bulk food items to South Africa for our potential new partners to distribute to other churches and NGOs
This year we’ll do it again, and we’ll be joined by our friends in Florence. We’ll need hundreds of volunteers at all three Crossroads locations to distribute and collect boxes. Check back in September for serving opportunities.
